Food Blogger Blogoversary Calender 16

I had an idea I thought would be a fun way to support our fellow food blog authors. And help create a even closer community.

I started a calender for listing food blogger blogoversary dates. The date of your food blog's official launch or first post, is your blogoversary.

The calender will allow for clickable links in the description, so you can put your blog's title in the event title, and a description of your food blog, then any links you'd like such as : your blog's link, twitter account, face book page etc. If you click on the image below, you can view an example calender event.

I used google calender to create it. It's easily searchable in the google calendar database. So your readers can follow all of their fav foodies. All public calenders are indexed by google.

You can view it by clicking this link - food blogger blogoversary. There is a small button at the bottom right you can click to subscribe/ add it to your google calender account.

You don't need to have a google account to view the calender, or get updates for upcoming or newly added food blogs :

Click on this link to subscribe with any calender that supports iCal format. Here is a list from wikipedia of apps that support iCAL.

I also burned it through feedburner. So you can subscribe or use it to add to another feed you are aggregating on your sidebar etc.

http://feeds.feedburner.com/FoodBloggerBlogoversaryDates

If you would like to be added to the calender, please fill out this form:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pqxVEg3ssIfUbtGXjEx8DEg

If you have more than one blog, please fill out form for each blog.

I will set each event to continue to be celebrated yearly, so you will get updated every year.

I hope this can be something that is fun and usable for everyone . It gives another way to celebrate and promote your wonderful food blogs.

Beatboxer adds different sounds as if adding ingredients in his kitchen 2

O.k, hopefully you haven't seen this yet? I just found this while searching for baking related diggs. I love music and beatbox and baking --- this dude combines all three of my favorites...o.k AND improve! He is in an apron and has a kitchenaide in front of him. Part Monthy Python , part Martha, part B-BoyyZ.

A must see! The incredibly original and talented beatboxer Beardyman presents a hilarious routine where he "bakes" a beatbox routine from the different sound "ingredients" he has in his repertoire. Amazing, incredible, and all those digg-worthy adjectives!

Trace Produce : Come and Meet Your Farmer 2

This is the farmer, that worked the land in Oregon, that planted the seed onions, that sprouted the fully grown onions, that I bought at my local grocer, that I fixed in my dinner, and fed to my family.

Grower: Frahm Fresh Produce

Frahm Farms is located in Eastern Oregon, 8 miles Sth West of Parma, Idaho along the Fertile Snake River Valley. It is owned and operated by Treveor and Rod Frahm. Rod is a second generation farmer, and his son Trevor is a third generation farmer. Frahm Farms grows Yellow, Red, and White onions, along with many other crops.

Field: FRYLHME GPS: N 43 56.38 W 116 59.58 Planted: 3/10/2007 to 4/15/2007 Harvested: 8/25/2007 to 8/25/2007

These onions are a Spanish Sweet Yellow Onion. They are a good all purpose onion, great for cooking or eating fresh. After harvest, these onions are kept in air storage facilities, which keep them at a constant cool temperature until packing.

As environmental challenges threaten our daily lives - talk about living sustainably,
and devouring foods that come from our backyards becomes an ever important topic. That means less fuel consumption, less packaging made from oil based chemicals, less waste.

One of the biggest advantages of buying organic is no pesticide residue in or on your veg's and fruit. Onions are one of the items listed on the "lowest amount of pesticide residue" list. You can find out more about which standard grocery bought fruits and vegetables rate highest or lowest by going to the Food News website and clicking on http://www.foodnews.org/walletguide.php

Have you ever wanted to know where your ingredients come from? Apart from those times when you can go to an organic farm/co-op in your community , or choose from your own garden.

As our food costs continue to increase, sometimes the price of organic goods surpass some budgets and could be considered a luxury. So what happens when you are just shopping at the standard grocer?

If you look at some tags on your produce, you might notice a tag with bold green text that reads "Trace Produce.com" . On the under side of this tag is a url and a USDA Id number.

Go to the website and enter your ID# , you will magically be whisked off to a page full of info, and YouTube videos of : Your farmer / field produce was grown / packing info. There is even a geo navigational map , via Google Maps, showing you directly where the farm is positioned.

You'll find my onions' info here.

And there are also recipe links corresponding to your type of produce. In this case it's ONIONS.

Umpa Lumpa - Google that shit!! 0

So after my little post about feeling "umpa lumpa-ish", I decided to Google the shit. Here are a few links that came up. I picked them to show the array of people using "Umpa Lumpa-isms" or related subject matter.

Willy Wonka - Great Movie

This link contains Adult themed Language:

One man's opinion Hilarious stuff! Delve into the unknown but heavily joked about.

You can see the new "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" trailer here, and read some interesting thoughts on the new flick.

They have an awesome flash animation of an Umpa Lumpa in a MIG flight getup! Just to see the animation is worth clicking on the link...;)

: WELCOME :
You've reached the home web site for Wonka's Umpa Lumpas Mechwarrior 4 Clan. Anyone interested in joining our clan please send and e-mail to =UMPA= Warrior .
We will be happy to meet with you in a game a see how well you play.

: Why be an =UMPA=? :
There is a big difference between our clan and many of the others you may have seen, or even been part of - we only want to have fun! No strict practice regiment, no bumping out clan members because someone 'better' arrived, and no hard feelings! The main reason to be part of a clan is to get together whenever possible and play the game we all enjoy with people that we know. Communication is the key. Every player is better when they know what there teammates are doing and where they are going. Many of us have been in other clans that were obsessed with ranks and scheduled practices - enough is enough - we do have lives. We play to have fun, and having regular teammates means we play and WIN. Think about what you really want out of the clan: Rules, Schedules, Ranks, Work? Not us, we want to relax and enjoy the game and most of all HAVE FUN.
